New City College is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and committed Employability Trainer/Assessor for sessional work at its Hackney Campus. The role will support vocational training and assessment, with a particular focus on accounting and related employability skills. Opportunities may also draw on expertise in civil engineering, security, business services, customer service, professional services, or health and social care.
This is a part-time, casual contract, paid at £33.24 to £37.93 per hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience. The anticipated start date is as soon as possible. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
Deliver engaging vocational training in accounting, bookkeeping, employability, or another relevant specialist area.
Conduct fair, accurate and timely learner assessments in line with programme requirements.
Support learners to progress towards employment, further study, or career development.
Apply current industry knowledge to make teaching practical, relevant and career focused.
Work flexibly as a sessional member of the college teaching team.
Promote equality, diversity and inclusion while upholding safeguarding responsibilities.
Successful applicants will need a Level 3 or higher specialist qualification and relevant industry experience. Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and other appropriate pre-employment checks. CVs will not be accepted, so candidates should complete the required application form in full.
