New City College is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Customer Services Advisor to deliver a seamless and supportive service at its Loughton campus. Acting as a welcoming first point of contact, you will assist students, prospective students, staff and visitors face to face, by telephone, by email and through other communication channels.
You will help position the college as the first choice for prospective learners and the wider community. This is a full-time, permanent role, offering £32,400–£34,200 per annum, dependent on experience, with a start date as soon as possible.
Applicants must have at least one year’s experience in an advice or information environment. You should hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance, Customer Service or an equivalent discipline. Excellent communication, IT, administration and organisational skills are essential, alongside a friendly, professional manner and an understanding of safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
Respond professionally to enquiries from students, staff, prospective learners and external visitors in person, by telephone and by email.
Process applications, enrolments and fee assessments accurately throughout the year.
Support recruitment activities, including open evenings, open days, enrolment events and applicant days.
Organise ESOL assessments and support associated administrative processes.
Process Oyster applications through the Transport for London portal.
Take payments for enrolments, identification cards and educational trips.
Audit learner files to support accurate and compliant record-keeping.
Deputise for the Customer Services Manager when required.
