The successful candidate should be available to start as soon as possible.

Applicants must hold a degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, together with GCSE grades A–C or equivalent in English and Maths. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging horticulture teaching and contribute effectively to the relevant programme.

  • Develop high-quality teaching materials and complete documentation relating to course planning and assessment.

  • Assess learners, prepare appropriate schemes of work and maintain accurate records.

  • Complete programme and college administration under the direction of the Head of School.

  • Undertake internal verification when requested by the line manager.

  • Participate in the college's annual lesson-observation process and engage positively with professional development.

  • Maintain a safe learning and working environment in line with health and safety legislation and college policy.

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk encountered through the role.

What We Offer

The role attracts a full-time equivalent salary of £27,841–£41,299 per annum, aligned with current further education lecturer pay expectations and dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.

Benefits include:

  • Generous annual leave and up to four free college closure days each year.

  • Paid carer's leave equal to the employee's usual working week.

  • Health and wellbeing support, with access to a voluntary health cash plan.

  • Pension scheme, cycle-to-work scheme and free on-site parking.

  • Free use of the on-site gym, discounted courses and discounted salon treatments.
