About St Bede's School

St Bede's School is a voluntary-aided, local-authority-maintained secondary school and sixth form in Redhill, Surrey, educating young people aged 11 to 18. Founded within Anglican, Catholic and Free Church traditions, the school offers an inclusive Christian environment where pupils are encouraged to flourish academically, socially and spiritually. Its ethos centres on strong relationships, pastoral care and respect for every member of the community, serving families from Redhill, Reigate, Caterham, Horley and the surrounding area.

The school serves approximately 1,900 pupils, including more than 300 students in its sixth form, and is expected to expand gradually in the coming years. Its broad secondary and post-16 provision enables pupils to continue their studies within a familiar, supportive community. The school highlights exceptionally strong relationships between staff and pupils, alongside opportunities for staff and students to participate in sport, choir and instrumental groups. Located around a 15-minute walk from Redhill station, it also benefits from convenient connections to London, the South Coast and the M25.

Working at St Bede's means joining a friendly and supportive staff community committed to pupils' development and wellbeing. Early career teachers receive a comprehensive, well-developed induction programme, while experienced colleagues can access training intended to support progression into middle and senior leadership. Staff may also benefit from on-site catering, free use of fitness facilities, end-of-term social events and occasional theatre trips, creating a collegial environment with opportunities for professional growth and participation beyond the classroom.
