Job Overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Cover Supervisor to coordinate and allocate daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned staff absence. The successful candidate will have experience in coordinating a timetable and working with children. Excellent time management, organisational skills and working to deadlines is essential for this post.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery of excellent classroom cover (2/3 of role).

Managing and organising cover arrangements for planned and unplanned staff absences, both teaching and non-teaching (1/3 of role).

Mentoring of supply and cover staff.

Safeguarding, health & safety, and behaviour management.

Contribution to multi-disciplinary and collaborative working.

Line management and mentoring of supply staff, both teaching and non-teaching.

Key Requirements

Experience of working with children.

Experience of coordinating a timetable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Conflict management skills.

Working under pressure.
