Summerswood Primary School is seeking a warm, approachable and highly organised School Administrator to join its busy and welcoming office team in Borehamwood. As the office sits at the heart of school life, you will help children, families, colleagues and visitors feel welcome, heard and valued.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 8.30am to 3.30pm, with an ASAP start. The full-time equivalent salary is £25,583 to £25,989 per year. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Be a friendly and professional first point of contact for families, pupils, staff and visitors.
Manage calls, emails and enquiries with sensitivity and discretion.
Support admissions and maintain accurate pupil records.
Communicate with parents using the school's systems.
Administer school meals, trips, swimming, milk and other pupil arrangements.
Process correspondence, forms, consent records and general documentation.
Help manage safeguarding information using CPOMS.
Support staff DBS checks, training records and related administration.
Update school website content and coordinate school photographs.
Handle payments, money and outstanding balances accurately.
Provide filing, photocopying, typing and record-keeping support.
Assist the School Business Manager/Secretary and wider team as required.
Applicants should ideally have administrative or school office experience, confidence with computer systems, sound literacy and numeracy, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will understand confidentiality, safeguarding and professional conduct, remaining calm and accurate while balancing competing priorities.
