Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work across our SEND enhanced provision classrooms, teaching and supporting pupils from Reception to Year 6 with a variety of needs. This is a unique opportunity to work across the primary phase, delivering high-quality, personalised learning experiences and making a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.Teach pupils across the primary age range (Reception to Year 6).Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of needs including SEMH, communication, and cognition and learning.Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, and the SENDCo.Work alongside the SENDCo and a range of external agencies to support pupil outcomes.Contribute to statutory processes, including EHCP reviews and annual reviews.Monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Experience teaching children with SEND across the primary phase.Strong understanding of SEMH, communication needs, and cognition and learning difficulties.Ability to differentiate effectively and deliver personalised learning.Strong behaviour management skills, with experience of trauma-informed approaches.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.A commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all learners.What the School Offers
