Burntwood School is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable Performing Arts and Media Technician to provide practical and technical support across its Performing Arts and Media Studies departments. Reporting to the Head of the PAE Cluster, the successful candidate will help staff and students make effective use of technical resources for lessons, recorded work, productions and wider school events. The role is expected to commence in September 2026.
This is a permanent, full-time, term-time-only role working 36 hours per week. The salary is NJC Scale 4, spinal points 7 to 10, currently £28,346 to £29,591 per annum.
Provide effective technical support for Performing Arts and Media Studies lessons, projects and performances.
Support students with the technical requirements of written, practical and recorded work.
Assist with the preparation and delivery of whole-school performances and events.
Prepare, organise and support the effective use of relevant technical resources and equipment.
Work collaboratively with teaching and support colleagues under the direction of the Head of the PAE Cluster.
Follow the school’s expectations for safeguarding, equality, inclusion and safe working practices.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available. Appointment will be subject to the school’s pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
