Churchtown Primary School is seeking an organised, energetic and proactive Catering Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of its catering provision. This hands-on role is central to ensuring pupils enjoy healthy, nutritious and appealing meals that support their wellbeing, development and learning.
The post is permanent and offered on a term-time plus one week basis. Working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:00pm. Take overall responsibility for the smooth, safe and effective operation of the school’s catering service.
Lead, organise and support the catering team in preparing and serving meals to consistently high standards.
Plan balanced menus that meet pupils’ needs and applicable nutritional standards.
Manage food orders, stock control, budgets and kitchen resources efficiently.
Ensure dietary requirements and allergies are handled carefully and consistently.
Maintain excellent standards of food quality, hygiene, safety and customer service.
Work closely with school leaders to develop a responsive service for pupils and the wider school community.
