Job Summary
The Inclusion Assistant plays a key role in supporting pupils’ academic, social, emotional and behavioural development across Reception to Year 11. The postholder will work closely with leaders, teachers, families and external agencies to deliver targeted inclusion strategies, remove barriers to learning, and promote positive behaviour, attendance and wellbeing in line with the school’s faith values.
Responsibilities
Deliver targeted inclusion and intervention programmes for pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND, SEMH needs, Pupil Premium, EAL, children known to social services, and pupils experiencing vulnerability.Support the implementation of Learning Support Plans, EHCPs and Early Help processes, maintaining accurate records and contributing to a graduated approach of plan, do, review.Build positive, professional relationships with pupils and families, promote positive behaviour and resilience, and support pupils to develop confidence, independence and aspiration.Contribute to safeguarding, supervision, transitions, induction, attendance initiatives and the wider life of the school, upholding the school’s faith values, ethos and commitment to inclusion and the common good.Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of learning, share good practice and deliver consistent, high-quality provision.Maintain accurate records, provide meaningful feedback, analyse assessment data and communicate confidently with parents and pastoral teams to support pupil progress.What We Offer
