About Rye College

Rye College is a secondary academy for pupils aged 11 to 16 in Rye, East Sussex, at the heart of historic 1066 country. The college serves approximately 645 pupils and is guided by a clear mission to create bright futures for all. Its ethos combines high academic expectations with inclusion, resilience and respect for individual potential. As a close-knit school, Rye College aims to know students as individuals, recognise their different starting points and nurture the skills, talents and confidence that will help them succeed in education and beyond.

The college is distinctive for its community-centred approach and determination to provide an exceptional education for every learner. It promotes high standards while recognising that achievement takes many forms, creating an environment in which diverse abilities can develop. Since November 2018, Rye College has been part of Aquinas, an educational trust comprising eleven schools across south-east England.
