Rotherhithe Primary School

Rotherhithe Primary School is a primary academy for children aged 3 to 11 in Rotherhithe, London. Serving the local community from its SE16 location, the school supports pupils throughout EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Its ethos centres on inclusion, safety and ensuring that every child can participate fully in school life. Staff are expected to approach pupils with care, patience and respect while upholding high standards of safeguarding, equality and welfare.

The school educates approximately 339 pupils and includes provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Lunchtime staff contribute to this provision by creating orderly, welcoming dining and play environments, offering suitable activities and helping children develop confidence and independence. Strong safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and child protection procedures underpin the school’s work.

Working at Rotherhithe Primary School means joining a collaborative team committed to positive outcomes for children. Colleagues are supported through relevant training, meetings and performance development, including preparation for duties such as first aid and individual care. The permanent, part-time nature of this opportunity offers stability alongside school-day working hours. Staff can expect a purposeful and supportive environment where flexibility, enthusiasm and teamwork are valued and where their contribution to pupils’ wellbeing is recognised.
